Torquay residence
This is a courtyard house that provides small intimate spaces over a large allotment. The house cascades down the site providing a number of levels for family activity to unfold. Each of the courtyards has a different character and corresponding use depending on the climatic conditions. A large lap pool stretches over half the length of the block providing a fantastic landscape backdrop to most areas of the house. Area 320m2

Sorrento beach house
A simple addition to a 70’s merchant builders home has increased the accommodation significantly and provided a contemporary entry statement. The new room is a living space that has framed views over the garden and is serviced by an open plan kitchen and dining room.

Malvern townhouses
Located in Jordon St Malvern, these two townhouses are designed to appear as one intertwined composition, which provides for different floor plans to each house, giving them individuality and flexibility. The use of natural materials provides a timeless yet contemporary feel.

Portland residence (unbuilt)
The design developed primarily as a response to the very steep, rugged site. Nestled into the hill, the house is composed of three interlocking elements, each which their own identity and materials palette. The design focuses on the interplay between these constituents, and the internal and external spaces that occur at their junctions.  On entry, the space unfolds gradually and views within and out of the dwelling are accentuated and framed.

Glen Iris residence
The brief for the project required the integration of two dissimilar housing types on the one property, one functioning as a residence and the other as an office/guesthouse. The design concept was to generate an architectural cue which would become the primary reference point for the design, informing the master planning and landscaping through to the detailing of the buildings. The resulting curvilinear form articulates the spaces and defines points of insertion and difference, generating views and framing the landscape.
